Pepper Corn Bread

This is from one of the Grandma series of cookbooks (I think it was Grandma's Touch but I own three of them so my memory is bad) - Irene Hrechuk.  I could not find the recipe shared freely online so I won't post it here.  I do recommend this cookbook (Grandma's touch).  Many of our favourite recipes do come from here (like the chili - oh my...and the carrot cake...mmm).  However this recipe was not enjoyed by us.  The kids were away at Grandma's house and so we made a big pot of chill and tried this cornbread recipe.  The combination of buttermilk, butter and creamed corn just made this bread too moist and greasy feeling for us.  We prefer a drier lighter cornbread.  We will not make this again.
