Do you ever rip recipes out of magazines and collect them in a book or a drawer? This recipe is one of those recipes. I am not sure where it came from, it was before I started blogging and I didn't know that I would need to source it. I picked this recipe because it has a lot of my favorite ingredients in it.
Orzo with Bacon & Shrimp
2 cups orzo pasta
6 slices bacon, chopped
1 lb uncooked shrimp
1 shallot, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
3/4 cup creamy goat cheese
Cook pasta according to package directions.
While pasta is cooking, cook bacon. Remove with slotted spoon leaving drippings. Sautee shallot and garlic. Add shrimp to pan. Cook until pink. Add orzo, bacon, goat cheese and season with salt and pepper. Stir to mix.
Heather - 7.5 - "Good, but I don't think I will make this again"
Brad - 7 - "OK, but you don't need to make it again for me"
NOTE:
I added some peas to the orzo while it was cooking since there weren't any vegetables in this recipe.
