Pot Roast

As adapted from Company's Coming Slow Cooker "Pot Roast"

4-5 med potatoes - cut into chunks
4  medium carrots - cut into largish chunks (so they don't get soggy)
2 medium onions - cut into chunks (I used M&M meatshops prechopped onions)
1.4 kg boneless beef roast
3/4 cup boiling water
Beef bouillon Powder (2-3 tsp)
splash of liquid gravy browner
salt
pepper
Rosemary
(didn't measure these last 3 seasonings...)

Lay potato, carrot and onion in bottom of slow cooker.  Place roast on top.  Combine remaining and pour over top.  Cook on low 10-12 hours or high 5-6 hours.  Serves 8-10.  When finished I thickened the remaining liquid with some cornstarch mixed in water to make a gravy.

I thought this was really yummy.  DH was feeling a bit under the weather that day but said it was pretty good.  Mr. Picky ate all of his share without a peep of protest!!  In fact, the only person who didn't like it was Miss Almost-Vegetarian!!   She wouldn't eat a single bite and wailed in protest when we tried to convince her.  Oh well - you can't win them all.  We WILL make it again!!
