One day I followed the "oh she glows" link on the side of this blog and noticed that she often makes this dish or variations of it. I love oatmeal so I figured I would give it a go. I had to do some shopping first though as chia seeds (wowsers these are expensive) and almond milk are not staples in my pantry.
I mixed up a batch the night before and went to bed dreaming of this as my breakfast.
It was a nightmare. I hated them. They looked great and I really wanted to like them but I hated them. I hated the texture, that they were cold and they weren't that flavourful. I am going to try them again with a couple of changes. I might try and find the chocolate powder (chocolate makes everything better), I will use more oats so that they aren't so runny, I will heat it up, see how it goes and report back.

I have experimented with the overnight oats, and they take some perfecting before they are good. First suggestion it to heat them up in the microwave when you are going to eat them! I can't imagine eating them cold. YUCK! I put them in for about a minute, perfect.
I also mix in cinnamon and nutmeg, chopped nuts, almond butter, all sorts of random ingredients to make them taste better. The spices are key.
Hope this helps... :)
